Ensuring Green Cleaning is Effective

earth in our handsWhile green cleaning has become popular in recent years, it is important to make sure that the focus stays on the cleaning aspect of the job. If a cleaner uses environmentally friendly methods, but isn’t providing a sufficient clean, they really are not doing their job. One organization, The Cleaning Industry Research Institute (CIRI), is making it their goal to study the effects of green cleaning methods in order to ensure they work just as well, if not better, than traditional cleaning methods.

The CIRI notes that certain green cleaning decisions can actually have a negative impact. In these cases, the decision to go green is given more focus than making sure the new method is actually efficient at creating a clean environment. This research started in 2011 when some researchers noticed that a green cleaning trend in healthcare facilities had left many unanswered questions regarding effectiveness.

In order to guarantee that green cleaning products and methods are effective, the CIRI has recommended cleaning companies keep the certain things in mind. For instance, they want cleaners to evaluate their methods and note whether or not they effectively clean surfaces to help prevent the transfer of disease, protect human health, maintain cost, and more. If a green cleaning does all of these things, the CIRI says it is good to go.

When you need effective green cleaning that you can trust, you can always count on the team at My Carpet Cleaning Service to get the job done right!
